Heads properly placed, operating at ideal pressures will give you optimum coverage. So many factors were considered during the design process  and now it is time to select the heads your going to use.

We are happy to help you keep from making some common mistakes when it comes choosing the right head. One simple design rule is never to mix spray heads with rotor heads on the same zone. The rate at which they apply water varies greatly. Spray heads typically put out double the precipitation of a rotor.

  • Spray Heads
    Spray heads are best utilized in small to medium size turf areas and some garden applications. Most spray heads require a nozzle and screen that are purchased separately. Some Hunter spray heads are sold as a one piece unit. Some nozzle are a fixed pattern IE. 90, 180 or 360 degree, however becoming more and more popular are the variable nozzle that lets you chose any radius you want.
  • Impact Heads
    We sell major brands of lawn sprinkler impact heads. Impact heads have been replaced over the last few years with rotor heads. We help the do it yourselfer with design and head placement. Most major brands including Rainbird, Orbit and Nelson.
  • Rotor Heads
    The Water Shed supplies Northern Colorado homeowners, contractor and do it yourselfers with all major brands of commercial rotors. K-Rain, Rainbird, Hunter, Weathermatic, Nelson, Orbit, Toro, MP Rotator and other brands are in stock now. We will help you design your automatic lawn sprinkler.
